Every year, Apple releases a major update to the iPhone family. Last year (2018), they released three major versions to iPhone X; the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. And of course, they have a master plan to this year (2019) also. The planned iPhone release to the year 2019 is the iPhone 11 (iPhone XI). Apple hasn’t yet published any official news about this update on their website. However, we were able to collect some rumors about the latest iPhone 11 release. So here is our attempt to write you down all the latest news about the upcoming iPhone 11.
iPhone 11 – Release Date
According to past trends, Apple’s next iPhone version will be released in 2019. Apple is planning to announce the latest iPhone 11 along with the Apple Watch Series 5 at an event on September 2019. Usually, the newest iPhone goes on sale around two weeks after its release date. Pre-orders will likely start on Friday after the first announcement. As for now, it is hard to exactly point out the release date of the iPhone XI because Apple hasn’t even introduced it to the public. Hopefully, you will be able to buy it someday within this year.
iPhone 11 – Price
Speaking of the truth, we don’t know the official price of the upcoming iPhone XI yet. But it foreseeable to be similar to the price that we saw with the latest iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. The price will likely start at $999 and increase for more storage and for a larger screen. The storage may start at 64GB with additional choices for 256GB and 512GB. Perhaps, Apple won’t offer you 1TB of storage this year. If any case, Apple is planning to offer a low-cost iPhone in 2019 as the iPhone XR, it will likely start at $749 and increase the price for additional storage.
Features of iPhone 11
iPhone 11 is planned to be shipped with the upcoming iOS 13. Apple announced iOS 13 at WWDC 2019, and they have already seeded several betas to it. According to past rumors, Apple is planning to ship two new iPhones models with 6.1-inch and 6.5-inch OLED displays. Also, there is a rumor that Apple is going to ship them with a triple camera system.
Three models of iPhones
One of the famous journals has reported that Apple’s flagship 2019 lineup is planned to feature three models; 2 OLED and 1 LCD variant. The larger iPhone 11 (iPhone 11 Max?) will feature a triple back camera system. The next move to the iPhone XE, with an LCD screen panel, will have a single back lens to a dual-camera system. If you are interested in the triple camera system, you will have to buy the largest and the most expensive phone.
Triple Camera System
In the third camera on the high-end models of the iPhone 11, it will have an ultra-wide-angle lens to make larger and more detailed photos. It will also have a broader range of zoom. Apple is also working on a feature to auto-correct and fir people back into a photo who has accidentally cut out. The increased zoom feature will be on the second camera on the new XR model as well.
Finally, Apple has planned to add a feature to wirelessly charge Apple watches or AirPods just like in the Powershare feature in the Samsung Galaxy S10. The predictions about iPhone 11 include that it would work with bidirectional wireless charging, and the AirPods wireless charging case may also support the wireless charging feature on the latest iPhone 11. The main idea is that the battery of the iPhone XI will be large enough to share power with an AirPods case and an Apple Watch without using any cables. Also, there is a rumor that the iPhone 11 will be bundled with a new charging cable, but it is not going to switch to USB-C for the charging port. Apple may come with the new 18W USB brick for the iPad Pro and may ship separately, depending on Apple’s Lightning to USB-C cables.
The camera system is one of the most prominent features that upgrade iPhone to iPhone as it is one of the main selling and demanding features on iPhones. The front-facing camera of the iPhone 11 is likely to go from 7 to 12 megapixels. It will change from the existing 4-element lens to the 5-element lens. And the new camera will be on all three versions of iPhones that are planned for the year 2019, including the second version to XR.
iPhone 11 Screen
The screen sizes may remain the same size for the 2019 iPhone releases. However, Apple is planning to launch three new iPhones in 2020 with OLED displays. According to the latest iPhone versions, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are based on OLED screens, but the iPhone XR has a lower-resolution LCD panel, hoping to save money. This pattern is set to the 2019 iPhone releases as well, which includes the iPhone 11.
